The success of The Simpsons is like nothing ever seen before on television; it has become a touchstone of American pop culture. As a writer and associate producer for the show, Joel has an ability to share the creative and inspirational secrets of his success in a way that audiences will find useful, compelling, and entertaining.

In addition to his work on The Simpsons, Joel Cohen has been a contributing writer on numerous feature films, including Cat in the Hat and Curious George. He has been nominated for and won major awards including an Emmy, Golden Globe, and Writer’s Guild Award.

Shane’s Inspiration

After the loss of their son to Spinal Muscular Atrophy the Williams and family friend Tiffany Harris created Shane’s Inspiration, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children with disabilities.

Shane’s Inspiration has helped create the first Universally Accessible Playground in the Western U.S. and the largest in the nation. They have raised millions of dollars to develop over 40 accessible playgrounds throughout Southern California and as far away as Sri Lanka. They reach over 2,600 children each year through transportation, education and community outreach programs.
